The cost of groceries is the number-one financial stressor in America. Food prices have increased by over 30% since the pandemic, while wages have remained largely flat.
For the 100 million Americans who make less than $50,000 a year, this is not an abstract issue. By the end of each month, budgets have dried up, and families are standing in grocery store aisles making impossible choices.

For the last five years, we’ve focused on modernizing the infrastructure that powers SNAP EBT.
Today, our payments technology is used at over 100,000 stores in all 50 states. We’ve facilitated tens of millions of grocery orders for American families, and our total payments volume has grown by over 13x over the last year.
US Grocery is a $1.5 trillion dollar industry, and the retailers who win over the next decade are the ones who can compete on affordability and effectively serve cost-conscious shoppers. When grocers switch to Forage, they see:
Processing payments will continue to be an important part of our work. But, increasingly, we're doing more to drive affordability for low-income families directly.
In late 2025, we launched the Forage app, a free tool that helps low-income families check their EBT balance, find savings, and earn rewards on everyday purchases. Since launch, it has been downloaded over 100,000 times. By the end of 2026, we aim to reach one million families.
One out of every two Americans will qualify for SNAP at some point in their lives. We're building Forage because we believe that everyone deserves access to healthy affordable food.
